The sport of triathlon opens the doors for everyone. With the three most popular endurance sports swimming, cycling and running, triathlon is an all-around competition of a special kind. The main focus in this course is getting to know and pairing each discipline, as well as training management & technique improvements. The goal of this course is to introduce the participants to the sport of triathlon step by step. This begins with the practical development of the individual disciplines and ultimately concludes with the competition-oriented form by combining all three sports ("coupling").
In the course of the semester, in addition to the sport-specific aspects, topics such as nutrition, mental preparation, organization/participation in a first competition (competition form, requirements, checklist, etc.) are integrated. At the end, each athlete should have gained the experience that triathlon is a lot of fun, that you get to know your environment and yourself in a completely different way, but also which requirement profile it presupposes. In addition, everyone should then be able to organize their training in such a way that it is as effective as possible in terms of physical performance, in addition to fun and health aspects. Possible is also a joint participation in the university championship triathlon.
