Lerne effektive Selbstverteidigung aus Süd-Ostasien! Silat stellt einen Übergriff von sehr vielen, auch recht unterschiedlichen Kampfkünsten aus den Region Indonesien und Malaysia dar und beinhaltet eine Vielzahl von Angriffs- und Verteidigungs-bewegungen: Schlagtechniken, Tritte, Blöcke, Würfe, Griffe und Hebel. Zunächst werden grundlegende Prinzipien und Drills trainiert, um dann im Verlauf des Semesters nach und nach Waffen wie Kurz- und Langstock, Messer und Machete hinzuzufügen. Bei Interesse können die erlernten Fertigkeiten auch im (kontrollierten) Sparring getestet werden.

Learn effective self-defence from South East Asia! Silat is an amalgamation of many different martial arts from the regions of Indonesia and Malaysia and includes a variety of offensive and defensive movements: Punching techniques, kicks, blocks, throws, holds and levers. Initially, basic principles and drills are trained, and then weapons such as short and long sticks, knives and machetes are gradually added during the course of the semester. If interested, the skills learned can also be tested in (controlled) sparring.
